Little Dodgers Academy (Ages 6–11) Dodgeball classes for kids in Oakleigh The Little Dodgers program is a fun, beginner-friendly introduction to dodgeball for children aged 6 to 11. Held at Oakleigh Indoor Sports Centre, these weekly sessions are designed to help kids build strong physical foundations through an active and inclusive team sport. Each session focuses on learning the core skills of dodgeball in a structured and supportive environment. Children will be taught: → How to throw safely and with good technique → How to catch with control and confidence → How to block using the ball as protection → Basic game strategy, teamwork and positioning We don’t just play – we teach. Dodgeball is a fast-paced, engaging sport that challenges kids to think quickly, move with purpose, and work together. With multiple balls in play, kids stay alert and active throughout the session. What makes our program different is the emphasis on progression. Players are guided through clear goals each term, with a reward system that encourages effort, improvement, and sportsmanship. This helps children stay motivated and feel proud of their progress, whether they’re naturally sporty or trying a team sport for the first time.
