The Rules

General.

Drop-In Dodgeball mostly follows our standard dodgeball rules, with a few tweaks for our Drop-In sessions. The tweaks are listed below.

1. Match Duration.

  • Each team plays four 15 minute matches throughout the night.

  • 14 minutes of regular gameplay.

  • The last 1 minute is sudden death.

  • If there's under 1 minute left on the match clock, no new game will begin.

2. Sudden Death
  • Starts automatically at the 14-minute mark, with no reset.

  • The team with the most players left on the court at 15 minutes, wins the point.

  • In regular rounds, catches do not bring players back during the sudden death phase.

3. End of Night Bonus Round.
  • We run a fun bonus Sudden death round at the end of the night after the round robin is completed and teams are ranked.

  • During the sudden death bonus round, catches can bring players back in.

  • Games are capped at 5 Minutes. The team with the most players left on the court at the end, wins the match.

4. Each team has one break.
  • During the break  players can watch or help Ref the games.

  • Players that ref five 15 min games during the season, receive the sixth Drop-In session for FREE as thanks for contributing to our community!

  • Players can only ref one game per drop-in session. However, you can get multiple free games throughout the season by reffing once each drop-in session.

5. Team & Player Points.
  • Teams get allocated points based on their final standings on the night.

  • Players on each team get these points added to their overall standings which contribute to their overall rank.

  • To see player rankings go here.

6. Prizes and Beyond.
  • The players ranked in the Top 8 at the end of the season receive our exclusive championship jerseys which contribute to our jersey track progression hall of fame.

  • Players that are ranked in the Top X (TBC) for  Monday's and Tuesday's Drop-in also get invited to play in an epic Monday (east) v Tuesday (west)  Tournament. The winners of this tournament also receive our exclusive championship jerseys which contribute to our jersey track progression.
